HISTORY
In 2001, under a scheme to strengthen higher education promoted by President Vicente Fox Quesada and under a cooperation scheme with the government of the state of Tamaulipas, the Technological University of Matamoros was created.
For 17 years now, and with more than 20,000 students graduated, UT Matamoros continues to grow stronger every day, with all of its accredited university technical careers, quality educational plans, and certified under the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard, is the best Technological University in the country.
