Presentation

The Higher University Technician in Administration in the area of Project Formulation and Evaluation has the necessary professional competencies to perform in the labor field, at the local, regional and national level.

Mission

Form Higher University Technicians in Administration, Formulation, and Evaluation of Projects area with knowledge, skills, and aptitudes, fulfilling the expectations of the study plans to satisfy the needs of the labor market, increasing the level of competence of the productive sector.

Vision 2015

Provide a Higher University Technician in Maintenance in Administration in the area of Project Formulation and Evaluation with a high level of competitiveness based on their knowledge, skills, and aptitudes in the labor market, carrying out a permanent evaluation of relevance with the regional productive sector through a prepared, consolidated and trained academic body that is at the forefront of the needs of the sector.

Professional Competences

Professional competencies are the skills and attitudes that allow the Higher University Technician to develop activities in his professional area, to adapt to new situations, as well as to transfer, if necessary, his knowledge, skills, and attitudes to other professional areas.

Generic Competencies:

Capacity for analysis and synthesis, basic research skills, individual capabilities, and social skills, managerial skills, and the skills to communicate in a second language.

Specific Competencies:

  1. Evaluate the present and future financial situation, through analysis and projection techniques, to optimize the organization’s resources.

1.1 Generate basic financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow) based on accounting records and assisted by specialized software, to provide information for decision making.

Formulate strategic planning according to the needs of the organization and its environment, to achieve the proposed objectives.

1.2 Diagnose the financial situation of the organization through financial analysis tools, to contribute to decision making.

1.3 Control working capital using applicable techniques to optimize the management of accounts receivable and payable.

2.1 Build the ideological framework and structure of the organization by applying the elements of management to improve its performance.

2.2 Evaluate the organizational situation and its scope of competence employing research and analysis tools, to determine areas of opportunity and strengths.

  1. Propose investment projects for new production units and ongoing businesses.

3.1 Identify investment projects for new production units based on a strategic analysis of the environment, value chains, and competitive conditions, allowing for the selection of projects and/or programs with the greatest potential to impact local and regional development.

3.2 Identify investment projects for ongoing companies based on a situational diagnosis that considers administrative, market, technical, financial, and organizational aspects to impact the growth and competitiveness of the company.

4.2 Elaborate the technical study applying the tools that allow defining the investment and operation conditions, to ensure the satisfaction of the need detected in the market study.

4.3 Elaborate the financial study developing budget and pro-formal financial statements, determining the ratios and indexes that allow us to visualize in advance the financial performance of the project.

4.4 Evaluate investment and/or improvement projects and programs using tools and indicators to determine the viability and/or profitability of the project.

4.5 Monitor project execution through statistical tools and specialized software to meet the goals and scope of the program.

Admission Profile

Students who enter UTM for the career of Administration, Formulation, And Evaluation of Projects area must possess certain knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as fulfill certain administrative requirements that will allow them to adequately begin his/her university studies. The most important elements that students must have before entering UTM can be divided into two. On one hand, there are administrative requirements and on the other hand the desirable academic elements.

Among the administrative requirements for all applicants is to have completed high school or equivalent, take the CENEVAL exam, present a birth certificate and CURP, as well as to cover the registration fees for four months.

The desirable competencies of applicants who wish to enter into the specialty of Administration, Formulation, And Evaluation of Projects area include scientific and/or technological disciplines; students must know accounting and administration, the ability to perform analysis and synthesis for basic research, social interaction, the ability to communicate in a second language, the ability to express themselves orally and in writing, to analyze and solve problems, a taste for learning, an interest in understanding their environment and for their integral formation.
