WHAT IS DESIGN THE CHANGE MEXICO?

Design for Change is the largest social entrepreneurship project in the world.
Through a simple methodology, children, youth and adults are able to create positive change in their community and become self-sufficient, with good self-esteem and a positive attitude. This methodology consists of four simple steps: Feel, Imagine, Do and Share.
These steps allow children and young people to prove to themselves that change is possible by adapting the «I can» ideology and expressing their own ideas to change the world and putting them into action. Thanks to its simplicity, today it is present in more than 40 countries, with Mexico being the number one country in participation. Students and teachers from more than 30,000 schools have entered into the adventure of designing change impacting thousands of people, starting with oneself.
What is the Design for Change contest about?
It is an invitation to follow 4 simple steps and transform the world.
Every year, in September and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Design for Change (Diseña el Cambio) launches a nationwide call, inviting all public and private elementary schools (preschool, elementary and high school) to participate by developing projects that have a positive impact on their schools and communities through our four-word methodology: Feel, Imagine, Do and Share.
This call can reach schools in different ways:
- Through the distribution of Free Textbooks, a didactic package is delivered to more than 200,000 schools, where the teacher can find the necessary information to be able to participate in Design for Change.
- Design for Change has collaboration agreements with different educational organizations in different states of the Republic, who directly invite all the schools in the entity to participate.
- Teachers who are familiar with the project invite other colleagues to join this great movement.
In 7 editions more than 30,000 teachers and 150,000 children throughout Mexico have carried out projects of change that have transformed the lives of more than 7 million people.
We invite you to be part of this great movement!
