We’re off to the CONDDE2022 Nationals
UTMatamoros congratulates the Lions Weightlifting team for their outstanding participation in the Weightlifting Qualifying Event for the National Universiade 2022, in Oaxtepec, Morelos, organized by the National Sports Council for Education (CONDDE), in coordination with the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) and the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE).
Achievements:
Michell Velez Arriaga:
- 3 gold medals
- 1st Place in the National Selective Tournament for the National Universiade 2022.
Estefania Mata:
- 2 bronze medals
- 3rd Place in the National Selective Tournament for the National Universiade 2022.
Achieving the pass to the National Universiade 2022, to be held this coming May in the city of Juarez, Chihuahua.
We also congratulate their coach Joaquín Castañeda for the outstanding preparation in high performance sports of the young weightlifting team.
