We qualified for the CONADE 2022 National Championship.
On April 30, the UTMatamoros track and field team participated in the event «Track and Field Towards the 2022 National Championships» in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. The competition was organized by the Athletics Association of the State of Nuevo Leon in coordination and support of the Institute of Sports of that state and the endorsement of the Mexican Federation of Athletics Associations (FMAA).
Achieving the following places:
- 5th Place in Pole Vault: Gabriel Simón Juárez Carmona.
- 4th Place in High Jump: Ingrid Rivera Garza
- 6th Place in High Jump: Jesús Alfredo Silva Álvarez
This competition is fundamental for their participation in the Primera Fuerza National Championship, and their preparation for the CONADE National Games and National Universiade 2022.
