UTMatamoros Triumphs in the First Girl Powered Latin America Mexico 2023 Tournament.
With first place and the Champions of Excellence Trophy, UTMatamoros students triumphed in the First Latin American Girl Powered Mexico 2023 Tournament, which took place in Mexico City on February 1st, 2023 at the Tec de Monterrey Campus Santa Fe, where more than 80 women’s teams from countries such as Panama, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico participated.
This tournament is divided into three categories, VEX IQ (elementary), VEX VCR (middle and high schools) and VEX U (high schools and universities). UTMatamoros participated in the VEX U category, achieving the Champion of Excellence and Tournament Champion award for being a highly competitive team by obtaining the most points in the judges’ review.
These achievements demonstrate the quality education provided to students in the classrooms of Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros, and we applaud and recognize the triumph and talent of the students and advisors. «Once again our young people show their talent and ability in the competitions where they participate, and put the name of UTMatamoros and Tamaulipas on high».
