UTMatamoros Rector Receives the 1st Place Winners at CECIT
With great enthusiasm and pride, Diana Masso Quintana, Rector of the Universidad Tecnologica de Matamoros (UTMatamoros), received the first place winners in the Superior category of the 26th State Contest of Creativity and Technological Innovation – Expociencias Tamaulipas 2024.
Students Alejandro Galván Manrique and Emmanuel Guillermo Juárez were the winners of this distinction thanks to their innovative project FIRREYE, a system designed to identify and locate fires in isolated and nearby areas in order to protect the community and alert authorities in a timely manner.
Thanks to their outstanding participation, the young people won their pass to the national Expociencias contest, which will take place next December in the city of Villahermosa, Tabasco, where they will compete with projects from other states in the country.
During the emotional meeting, the students were accompanied by their advisor, Misael Condado Fomperosa, who was also recognized for his invaluable support to the students during the development of this project. The UTMatamoros rector expressed her gratitude to Mr. Condado, highlighting his dedication and effort in the formation of the students. She also wished them the best of success for their next meeting.
This achievement is a reflection of UTMatamoros’ commitment to innovation and technological development, as well as the capacity of its students to excel in their studies.
