On October 10 and 11, students and professors from our university participated in the Encuentro de Jóvenes Investigadores Tamaulipas 2024, organized by the Consejo Tamaulipeco de Ciencia y Tecnología (COTACYT), held at the Polyforum in Ciudad Victoria, with the presence of Ms. Lucía Aimé Castillo Pastor, Secretary of Education of Tamaulipas; Ms. Ninfa Tomasa Cantú Deándar, Secretary of Economy of Tamaulipas; Eng. Raúl Quiroga Álvarez, Secretary of Water Resources for Social Development; Biól. José Ramón Silva Arizabalo, Secretary of Energy Development; MVZ. Dámaso Leonardo Anaya Alvarado, Rector of the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas; Lic. Juan Angel Paredes Espinosa, President of the Council of Business Institutions of Southern Tamaulipas (CIEST); Dr. Alfredo Salazar Lopez, Northeast Regional Director of CONAHCYT; and Dr. Julio Martinez Burnes, General Director of COTACYT.
The Meeting is a platform for participants to present the progress and results of their research, theses and ongoing projects. It also provides an opportunity for young people who have completed research stays or participated in summer programs at institutions of higher education (IES) and research centers (CPI) to share their experiences.
Our students shared their research advances in the areas of artificial intelligence, breast cancer and nearshoring, while our teachers were involved in the STEM tables.
Within the framework of the event, a seminar on Nearshoring or Relocation was held in collaboration with CONAHCYT.
