UTMatamoros participates in the “10th Anniversary ECO Rio Environmental Studies Symposium”
Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros (UTMatamoros) teachers participated in the 10th Anniversary ECO Rio Environmental Studies Symposium, an event organized by the Universidad Tecnológica de la Región del Valle del Río Grande (UTRGV) in the city of Brownsville, Texas. During this event, UTMatamoros academics had the opportunity to present various sustainable projects, aligned with the institutional commitment to environmental care and sustainable development.
This symposium not only celebrates a decade of promoting environmental studies, but also integrates with UTMatamoros’ efforts to comply with the cross-cutting themes of the BiS (Bilingual, Intercultural and Sustainable) educational model. In addition, participation in this event reinforces the university’s commitment to the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting the presentation of innovative projects that seek to generate a positive impact on the ecological environment and the community.
