UTMATAMOROS HOLDS THE FOURTH ORDINARY SESSION OF THE H. BOARD OF Directors.
On May 12, UTMatamoros Rector Flavio Hinojosa Álvarez presented his activity report to the Board of Directors, which was done through a #VideoConference, respecting the prevention measures implemented by the State Health Council, which is the highest body in the COVID-19 health contingency.
During the Ordinary Session, the rector presented the quarterly financial report, indicators, academic activities and social projects in which students, faculty and alumni of the university have participated to address the health contingency by COVID 19. Supporting with routes of transportation of medical personnel to hospitals, with the development of sanitizing tunnels, with the development of a prototype ventilator, protective masks, antibacterial gel and isopropyl alcohol, which have been donated and installed in hospitals and health jurisdictions of Matamoros and Valle Hermoso.
Rector Flavio Hinojosa expressed that the students, teachers and administrative staff of the institution are actively working from home, in the face of the contingency we are living today.
The #VideoConference was attended by all the members of the board of directors, including Miguel Efrén Tinoco Sánchez, Undersecretary of Middle and Higher Education of the State of Tamaulipas, Pedro Ulises Juárez Campos, Deputy Director of Budget CGUTyP, Engineer Luis Antonio Saavedra Rodríguez, Federal Subdelegate of the Secretariat of Public Education in Tamaulipas, C. P. Carlos Valdés Suárez, (Head of the Unit of Entities and Trusts of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Jorge Luis Almanza Loza, Regional Delegate of the Ministry of Economic Development of the State of Tamaulipas, Mtra. Glenda Leticia Cervantes Lomelí, Coordinator of OPDs, Mr. Saul Barajas Longoria, Coordinator of High School and Higher Education of the Secretary of Education of the Municipality of Matamoros, Public Accountant Antonio Saldaña Guerrero (SJOIIM and FRTM), Q.F.B. Alfredo Longoria Garza, representative of the productive sector, Mr. Armando Guajardo González, representative of CANACINTRA, in addition to the directors of UTMatamoros.
