UTMatamoros celebrates World Space Week
Within the framework of World Space Week, Diana Masso Quintana, Rector of the UTM, welcomed Carlos Roberto de Jesús Duarte Muñoz, General Coordinator of Human Capital Formation at the Mexican Space Agency, who gave a lecture entitled “Opportunities for Space Development in Mexico”.
During the conference Mr. Carlos Roberto de Jesus, shared with the university community the benefits that space provides in everyday life, its applications and the space panorama in Mexico. At the end of the conference the speaker urged our students to be space entrepreneurs, to be more and more interested in space and to keep in mind the importance of space in our daily life.
We would like to thank Judith Arrieta, Deputy Consul of Matamoros in the USA, Lic. Katalina Ramirez, Director of Expanding Frontiers, for the support provided to carry out this event, as well as the chambers of commerce that were present and the representatives of the UNAM and the Embassy.
With these actions we continue to strengthen the vision of our Governor Américo Villarreal Anya and Lucia Aimé Pastor, Secretary of Education of Tamaulipas, to continue transforming education in our state.
