UTMatamoros and SJOIIM present new academic opportunities for workers
UTMatamoros and SJOIIM present new academic opportunities for workers: Semi-Presential and Evening Modalities.
Today, in a joint meeting between the Technological University of Matamoros (UTMatamoros) and the Union of Day Laborers and Industrial and Maquiladora Industry Workers of Matamoros (SJOIIM), the new academic offerings for workers of the maquiladora companies in the region were presented. The proposal includes courses in blended learning and evening shift.
The UT Matamoros President, Diana Masso, highlighted the importance of offering educational programs that are accessible to students who also work in their jobs. She emphasized that these new modalities are designed to support workers in their professional training without interfering with their workday.
Mr. Juan Villafuerte Morales, General Director of SJOIIM, reiterated the organization’s commitment to provide its affiliates with the necessary tools for their personal and professional development, disseminating the educational opportunities available.
This initiative reaffirms the vision of the Governor of the State of Tamaulipas, Dr. Américo Villarreal Anaya, and the Secretary of Education of Tamaulipas, Mrs. Lucía Aimé Castillo Pastor, who, thanks to their leadership, have promoted policies and projects that favor access to education and the professional development of Tamaulipas workers.
This alliance seeks to facilitate access to higher education for workers, giving them the opportunity to advance their academic and professional careers while continuing with their work responsibilities.
