UTMatamoros achieves 5th Place at World Level in the «VCAT VEXU Tournament at Vaughn College».

UTMatamoros wins 5th Place in the «VCAT VEXU Tournament at Vaughn College».
Last February 11, students from the UTMatamoros robotics club participated in the «VCAT VEXU Tournament at Vaughn College», which took place in Queens, New York.
In this meeting UTMATAMOROS achieved a position in the semifinals obtaining 3rd place in the general table, also in the part of «Robots Skills» obtained the second place overall and the highest score in «programming skill» with just over 190 points, placing UTMatamoros in fifth place worldwide.
The teams that represented our institution were TMAT1, TMAT2 and TMAT3, the latter was formed by students of the first female robotics team POWERED GIRLS of #UTMatamoros, in the event participated teams from the Northeastern United States.
During the competition, the Vice President of Vaughn College, recognized the work that UTMatamoros has been doing over the years, and also received an invitation to participate in different tournaments in Boston, Philadelphia and Delaware.
The students who participated were: Leonardo Daniel Cortez Saldivar, Luis Daniel Moncayo, Erick Turrubiates, Paola Rodriguez Bermudez, Tanya Cavazos from the Mechatronics Career and Alan Rodriguez Hernandez from the Information Technology Career.
