UTM WINS SEP-ANUT AWARD AS BEST TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY IN THE COUNTRY
Aurelio Nuño Mayer will present the award to the university community.
The Technological University of Matamoros won the SEP-ANUT award granted by the Ministry of Public Education and the National Association of Technological Universities to the best technological university in the country, after obtaining the highest qualification in the areas of education, networking, as well as management and impact projects.
During a meeting held this Wednesday in Mexico City, the general coordinator of Technological and Polytechnic Universities, Master Héctor Arreola Soria, revealed that the Technological University of Matamoros, directed by Mr. José Antonio Tovar Lara, is the winner of the SEP-ANUT award.
Raul Martinez Hernandez, president of the National Association of Technological Universities (ANUT) was also present at the meeting, which was attended by rectors of Technological and Polytechnic Universities from all over the country.
The Secretary of Public Education, Aurelio Nuño Mayer, will visit the Technological University of Matamoros to present this important award to the university community on a date yet to be confirmed.
The award is granted by the Ministry of Public Education and the National Association of Technological Universities to the universities that during the 2014-2015 cycle made the greatest effort reflected in significant progress in improving the quality of educational programs and services offered; in its development process, consolidation and certification of management processes.
It is important to mention that the UTM was tied with the Technological Universities of Aguascalientes and Puebla in the semifinal stage.
Finally, on Wednesday, Master Héctor Arreola Soria announced that UTM is the winner of this important award, which was also achieved due to its good practices in qualitative aspects, academic capacity and academic competitiveness, as well as quantitative aspects such as indicators of effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, connection and equity, mainly.
