UTM WAR BAND AMONG THE BEST FIVE IN MEXICO
The war band of the Technological University of Matamoros, Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros, placed among the five best bands in the country during the «San Luis Potosí National Cup» held in that state of the Mexican Republic.
The UTM students who make up the war band faced 14 different institutions from the states of Mexico, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Michoacán, among others, where they showed their professionalism and excellence in playing wind and percussion instruments.
The war band, promoted since its creation by the rector of the Technological University of Matamoros, José Antonio Tovar Lara, is an example of discipline and martial arts that enhances the events of this institution, and on this occasion, they demonstrated high performance by competing with the best war bands in the country.
The UTM marching band performed an ensemble of marches at the Teatro La Paz in San Luis Potosi, where the jury evaluated the volume of the cornet, martial execution and the quality of the ensemble.
The war band integrated by students from different careers offered by this institution is the pride of the Technological University of Matamoros.
