UTM TEACHERS ARE TRAINED AT SOUTHERN ARKANSAS UNIVERSITY.

In order to give continuity to the project to convert the Technological University of Matamoros («UT Matamoros») into an International and Sustainable Bilingual Technological University, this Monday morning, May 21, a group of UT Matamoros professors left for Southern Arkansas University to strengthen their English language skills and learn new techniques for the teaching-learning process that will lead to the implementation of this project.

Alejandro Fernández Sandoval, head of the UT Matamoros Business Incubator Program, said that the teachers will be in the city of Magnolia, Arkansas for a month, particularly at Southern Arkansas University, where they will be developing their new techniques.

This training, he said, is the result of an agreement signed in February of this year between UT Matamoros and Southern Arkansas University, thanks to the efforts made by the rector, Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez.

And all with the firm purpose of turning UT Matamoros into the first International and Sustainable Bilingual Technological University in the State of Tamaulipas.

This would start with the careers of International Commerce, Mechatronics in the area of Automation and Mechatronics in the area of Electrical Installations, a project that will begin from the 2018-2019 school year, he concluded.
