As part of the continuing education process that the teachers of the Technological University of Matamoros («Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros») have, and with the support of the Rector, Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez, Ana Mariel Hernández traveled to the city of Mexicali, B.C. to take the «Professional Workshop for Teachers of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics».

This workshop was held at Cetys Universidad de Mexicali from June 11 to 15 and was attended by teachers from the states of Sonora, Baja California, Sinaloa, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

During the days of the workshop, the topics covered included robotics and programming, project-based teaching, and other topics of interest with environmental impact.

«This workshop was a great experience, as I was able to learn different ways to apply Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in the classroom. Each of the sessions was motivating to see how simple materials can make the class more interesting and dynamic, since it is important to develop students’ technical, creative and critical thinking skills so that they can be part of an innovative future», added Ana Mariel Hernandez.
