UTM STUDENTS STAND OUT IN PROYECTA 100 MIL.

After participating and passing all the requirements set by the Government of the United States of America, a group of young students from the Technological University of Matamoros (» Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros»), eleven in total, won one of the scholarships promoted by the U.S. Government and named: «Proyecta 100 Mil».

This was informed by the UT Matamoros Rector, Mr. Flavio Hinojosa Alvarez, who said that for this reason, this group of young people are preparing to travel to the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, where they will visit the University of St. Thomas and where they will spend four weeks to perfect their English language skills.

«All expenses related to his stay at the University are covered by the scholarship provided by the Government of the United States of America, thanks to Proyecta 100 Mil,» he said.

«This will allow the students, he said, to improve their English language skills by taking classes with professors from that University, learning about the culture of that country, exchanging experiences with students from that campus and above all enriching their knowledge based on their careers,» he said.

The students who will make this trip, from November 11 to December 8, are: Diana Laura Hernández Moreno, Diana Estefanía Alvarado García, Gerardo Alberto Rodríguez Romero, Abigail Neri Govea, Vanessa González Antonio, Miguel Alejandro Fuentes Garza, José Carlos Torres Escalera, Víctor Manuel Elizondo Fuentes, Edgar Manuel Chaidez Amaya, Luis Carlos Coronado Ángeles and Erandi Noemi Bocanegra Olvera, students from the Administration, Production Processes, International Operations and Industrial Maintenance careers.

On the other hand, he said that in these days a collaboration agreement will be signed with Austin Community College District, while another group of young people will visit Toyota in San Antonio, Texas.
