UTM STUDENTS REINFORCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE BY VISITING NATIONAL AND FOREIGN COMPANIES.
As a result of the agreement established between Alamo Community College and the Technological University of Matamoros, a group of UTM students and professors visited the facilities of the Toyota automotive assembly plant located in San Antonio, Texas.
This was informed by UTM’s Rector, Mr. Flavio Hinojosa Alvarez, who said that it is through these agreements that students reinforce their knowledge by seeing the development of first-class plants such as Toyota, which uses the best automation and robotics systems in the world.
The same happened with a similar visit but to the company IIsco of Mexico, where students reinforce their knowledge through Quality Management methodologies such as Kaizen, the Kanban method, as well as the use of Poka Yoke.
On the other hand, he added, I want to inform you that we were invited to participate in the meeting of the National Association of Technological Universities (ANUT), where we took a course called «Immersion Program to the Educational Model of Technological Universities 2019», which was held in Mexico City.
And finally, he said, it was nice to meet with UTM students who recently participated in the world meeting of the United Nations in Madrid Spain, as well as those who attended Laredo Community College and those who attended Alamo Community College for the Toyota plant, «to hear their experiences on such participations and especially to hear from their own voice the enrichment that undoubtedly left each of these visits and participation to such places, both in Europe and in the United States,» he concluded.
