UTM STUDENTS ATTEND CISCO NETWORKING TRAINING AT LAREDO COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

As part of the preparation and academic formation of the students of the Technological University of Matamoros («Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros»), and thanks to the support of Dr. Ivett Bermea Vazquez, president of the university, a group of students of the Information and Communication Technology career traveled to the city of Laredo, Tx. to train in Cisco Networking at «Laredo Community College», accompanied by professors Martha Franco and Hugo del Ángel Díaz.

During three days of intense training, the young students were able to practice networking with Cisco equipment, where they connected and configured routers, switches, computers, among other activities.

«It was an excellent course with the Cisco equipment they have at Laredo Community College, they are very sophisticated and expensive. The students came back very motivated, as they had not had the opportunity to practice with this type of equipment,» added the professors in charge.

UTM, together with the rector’s office, continues to support this type of training to help young students develop their practical knowledge and be able to exercise it in one of the companies with which the institution has an agreement.
