UTM RECTOR PRESENTS EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS TO MIDDLE-HIGHER EDUCATION DIRECTORS

To present the educational offerings of the Technological University of Matamoros, as well as its achievements in recent years, the rector of this educational institution, José Antonio Tovar Lara, met with directors of high school institutions.
Among the attendees were directors from the following institutions: Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Industrial y de Servicios (CBTIS) 135, 189 and 189 extension 1; from Colegio de Bachilleres de Tamaulipas (COBAT) 02, 20, and 23.
Also present were directors from the Instituto Tamaulipeco de Capacitación para el Empleo (ITACE); from the Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Agropecuario (CBTA) 274; from the Colegio Nacional de Educación Profesional Técnica (CONALEP) and from the high schools Juan José de la Garza, Ricardo Salazar Ceballos and Fidel Velázquez.
Addressing the attendees, including Juan Villafuerte Morales, general secretary of the Union of Industrial and Maquiladora Industry Workers and Laborers (SJOIIM), Tovar Lara explained that the Technological University of Matamoros is currently the only UT in Tamaulipas that has 100 percent of its degree programs accredited.
The University, he said, has accreditations and certifications from organizations such as the Council for Accreditation in the Teaching of Accounting and Administration A.C. (CACECA).; the Council for the Accreditation of Engineering Education (CACEI), by the Institutional Committee for the Evaluation of Higher Education, A.C. (CIEES).
He informed that there are 11 university technical and engineering careers that are being offered to students who will be graduating from high schools in the next few months.
And it is precisely with this meeting with you,» he added, «that we are starting the University’s promotional campaign aimed at increasing enrollment for the next school year, which begins in September.
The UTM rector explained that the admission exam to enter the institution will be held on May 25 of this year, and will take place at the UTM facilities, located at kilometer 8.5 of the Matamoros-Reynosa highway.
