UTM | Outstanding Weightlifting Athletes
The UTMatamoros university community is proud of each of the achievements of its young athletes. Their effort, dedication and passion inspire us all.
That is why today we congratulate Cassandra Michell Velez Arriaga, for winning two gold medals and a silver medal, achieving the National Championship title and the Bi Championship in the meeting called National Universiade 2024, which was held in Aguascalientes.
Thus achieving their pass to the FISU Pan American Championship, which will be held in Cali, Colombia.
During this meeting also participated the students Elías Treviño and Mariana Cortez, finishing in the Top Ten.
This meeting is one of the most important sporting events in the country, where the best universities in Mexico, both public and private, participate.
Thanks to their dedication and passion they have managed to position our institution as one of the best in this great sporting event.
