UTM OPENS MORE FIELDS OF ACTION FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS.

Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros (UTM) continues to sign agreements to strengthen the academic activities offered there.
UT Matamoros recently signed a letter of intent with Houston Baptist University (HBU) in the same building, informed UTM Rector Flavio Hinojosa Álvarez.
With this agreement, he said, we establish direct communication and will work together on engineering topics focused on cybersecurity, electrical mechanics and electronics. Thus, exchanges and mobility will begin immediately between both universities.
For this reason, he added, we appreciate all the support given by Dr. Eduardo Borges for the signing of this agreement, because thanks to him our teachers and students will be able to find more opportunities for academic development in international education systems.
The UT Matamoros rector also said that he recently traveled to the city of Merida, Yucatan to work on a possible agreement with the Instituto Tecnológico del Petróleo y Energía in the city of Merida.
This will provide more and better options for our teachers and students, particularly for those who study the area of Petroleum and those related to maintenance in this industry, he said.
Special thanks, he said, to Dr. María Elena Barrera, President of the Accreditation Council for Engineering Education, as well as to Dr. José Enrique Villa Rivera, former director of the Mexican Petroleum Institute, former director of the National Polytechnic Institute and former Secretary of Education of the State of Sinaloa.
Likewise, he added, I am grateful for all the support of the Governor of the State of Tamaulipas, Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca, the State Secretary of Education, Dr. Héctor Escobar Salazar and the education advisor, Dr. Ivette Bermea Vázquez.
