UTM INAUGURATES 3D LABORATORY

 

It will be at the service of the student community throughout the region.

The Technological University of Matamoros inaugurates 3-D laboratory

As part of its technological strengthening, the Technological University of Matamoros opened a 3D laboratory that will allow the promotion of science, technology and innovation for the benefit of the university community as well as students from elementary, middle and high schools throughout the region, who wish to make use of this modern equipment that has more than 300 subjects of anatomy, physics, mathematics, among others.

This new laboratory at UTM, the first in Tamaulipas, equipped with the support of the Tamaulipas Council of Science and Technology -COTACyT- was inaugurated by the rector of this institution, José Antonio Tovar Lara, who said that the modern equipment is available to elementary, middle, high and high school principals who are interested in bringing their students to this technology, unique in Matamoros and in the state.

Adolfo Limón Sánchez, Director of Higher Secondary Education; José Arvizu Serapio, representative of the General Coordination of Technological Universities; Roberto Hernández Hernández, representative of C.P. Mónica González García, Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism of the Government of Tamaulipas; José Flores Ramírez, Director of Municipal Education, as well as members of the UTM Board participated in the inauguration.

Among the more than 300 3D videos are biology with topics such as the anatomy and functioning of the brain, DNA structure, Nano-technology in medicine; in chemistry, topics such as balancing equations, electronic configuration, nomenclature of alcohols, while in physics are presented: Lens’ Law, semiconductors, solar system, among others.

The 3D laboratory has a capacity for 30 people, which is why the directors of the institutions that wish to visit this new facility at the Technological University of Matamoros will be asked to schedule visits for groups of that number of students.
