UTM CELEBRATED THE GRADUATION CEREMONY OF THE EIGHTH ENGINEERING GRADUATING CLASS.

Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros celebrated the Graduation Ceremony of the Eighth Generation of Engineering, where Ms. Graciela García de Rendón acted as Godmother.
Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez, Rector of this University, welcomed each of the guests to the ceremony.

Graciela García de Rendón, representing the Governor of the State of Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, Mtro. Daniel Sánchez Cedillo, representing the Federal Delegate of the Ministry of Education, Teacher Maria Isabel Lerma Gonzalez, director of ITM, the Head of SEDENA Brigadier General D.E.M., Adelfo Castillo Lopez, commander of the Eighth Military Zone, the Head of SERMAR Rear Admiral IMT, Federico Alberto Magaña Ramos, the director of CREDE of Matamoros, Dr. Maria Elena Flores Montalvo, the Secretary General of SJOIM and FRTM, C. Juan Villafuerte Morales and Directors of the Institution.

The guests of honor who were part of the presidium included the godmother of the graduating class, Ms. Graciela García de Rendón, representative of the Governor of the State of Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, Mr. Daniel Sánchez Cedillo, representing the Federal Delegate of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Gerardo Terán Cantú, Ms. María Isabel Lerma González, director of ITM, the Head of SEDENA, Brigadier General D.E.M. Adelfo Castillo López, commander of the Eighth Military Zone, the Head of SERMAR Rear Admiral IMT, Federico Alberto Magaña Ramos, the director of CREDE of Matamoros, Dr. Maria Elena Flores Montalvo, the Secretary General of SJOIM and FRTM, C. Juan Villafuerte Morales and Directors of the Institution.

Also present at this celebration were special guests such as counselors and companies that have relationships with UTM, as well as the directors of the schools of higher secondary education.

Graciela Garcia de Rendon, the godmother of the VIII Engineering Generation, gave an emotional message to the young graduates, urging them to give their best as professionals, to not give up on their dreams and to be role models for the Matamoros community.

The award for academic merit could not be overlooked, rewarding each student in each career with the highest average. Special mention should be made for the excellence in academic merit, the student with the highest average of the generation, which corresponded to the student Grecia Villarreal.

Congratulations and best wishes to all the graduating students, now engineers, graduates of the Technological University of Matamoros («Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros»), of the VIII Generation 2018.
