UTM ACCREDITED AS A TOEFL CERTIFICATION CENTER
On March 29th, staff from the Institute of International Education (IIE) certified the University as an affiliated center for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), allowing the institution to provide this important service to all those interested in Matamoros and the region.
José Antonio Tovar Lara, UTM’s Rector, made the necessary arrangements with the IIE to make the University an Assessment Center, an achievement that will greatly benefit the students of the institution and all those interested in evaluating their English language level.
Those who request their TOEFL application will be able to add the results to their resume, as well as be used as feedback in order to continue improving their knowledge of this official language of the globalized world.
It is important to mention that the Technological University of Matamoros will also be able to provide the TOEFL evaluation service to teachers who teach English, to workers of maquiladora companies, to students of any public or private educational institution and to anyone interested in knowing their level in this language.
As far as educational institutions are concerned, they will be able to request the service from elementary schools (high school), as well as all those at the middle and higher education levels.
With this important achievement, the Technological University of Matamoros has become one of the institutions with the greatest academic and technological progress, contributing to promote the development of this region, commented the rector of this university.
