UT MATAMOROS, TWO-TIME CHAMPIONS IN ROBOTICS

Once again, the students of the Technological University of Matamoros ( Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros, UTM) not only put the name of Matamoros on high, but of all of Tamaulipas and Mexico, since for the second consecutive time they won first place nationally in Robotics, after their participation in the National Robotics Tournament held recently at the Polytechnic University of Cancun, Quintana Roo.This was informed by UTM’s Rector, Mr. Flavio Hinojosa Alvarez, who said that because of this achievement, the students obtained their pass to the Robotics World Championship to be held soon in Louiseville, Kentucky, in the United States of America.
«Which for us is a real pride because the winning team obtained the award called -From the judges-, which refers to the fact that according to the qualifiers of the event, it was the most complete team in all the dynamics to be evaluated,» he said.
Our young lions, two-time national champions in Robotics are: Erick Arturo Guajardo Gutierrez, David Alejandro Cantu Franco, Hector Ramiro Gutierrez Flores, Daniel Ibarra Hernandez, Williams Alexis Agustin Laredo and Oscar Pavel Rangel Torres.
All of them advised by teachers Ricardo Esteban Treviño Parras and Jesús David Cuellar, he said.
Today our team, he said, is preparing to have an honorable representation of Mexico in the Robotics World Cup to be held in the coming months in Louiseville, Kentucky, United States of America.
All of the above, he said, speaks of the high academic level of the Technological University of Matamoros ( Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros, UTM), thanks to the dedication and effort of our students and our teachers, which is why we continue to occupy first place nationally as the best Technological University of all those in the country.
