UT MATAMOROS SIGNS LETTER OF INTENT WITH THE STATE OF NEVADA

In order to continue with the collaboration agreements for international academic mobility, the Secretary of Education in Tamaulipas signed a letter of intent with the Nevada System of Higher Education. (Nevada System of Higher Education).

Flavio Hinojosa Álvarez, UT Matamoros Rector, said that the Letter of Intent was signed by Efren Tinoco Sanchez, Undersecretary of Higher Education of the State of Tamaulipas, on behalf of the State Secretary of Education, Dr. Héctor Escobar Salazar.

As well as the education advisor, Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez and the representatives of Nevada System of Higher Education, Thom Reilly and Kevin J. Page.

With the above, he said, there will be the opportunity for more young students belonging to the different UT and Polytechnic of Tamaulipas to be able to stay at Technological Universities in the State of Nevada.

Likewise, he added, participating in English courses to reinforce the mastery of that language, as several of our students and teachers are already doing in universities in Arkansas and Kentucky.

«This is the fundamental purpose of our Secretary of Education, Dr. Héctor Escobar Salazar, and of our Governor Francisco Javier García Cabeza,» he said.

It is important to remember that our Technological and Polytechnic Universities of the State are on the way to becoming International and Sustainable Bilingual Universities (BIS).
