UT MATAMOROS SIGNS COLLABORATION AGREEMENTS WITH TEXAS UNIVERSITIES.

With the firm purpose of establishing more ties of friendship, but above all, of student mobility, the Matamoros Technological University (» Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros») recently signed two collaboration agreements with two more universities in the State of Texas.
Flavio Hinojosa Alvarez, UT Matamoros rector, said that one of these agreements was signed on November 7 in Austin, Texas.
International Collaboration Agreement between Austin Community College and the Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros, to establish academic mobility among teachers and students, he said.
Signing for Austin Community College was Charles M. Cook, as vice president of dica Universidad and Flavio Hinojosa Álvarez as president of UT Matamoros.
The following day, he said, an equal collaboration agreement was signed between Alamo Community College and the Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros, with Mike Flores, Chancellor and myself participating in the signing.
«This is for the sole purpose of reinforcing the work we do at the University to provide the best and most up-to-date tools in all areas of major interest to our academic community,» he reiterated.
In other information, the UT Matamoros rector also said that thanks to the efforts made by the Secretary of Education in Tamaulipas, Dr. Héctor Escobar Salazar, today a teaching building is being built, which will have 14 classrooms, restroom modules and a conference room, work that is already 80 percent complete and will possibly be delivered in January 2019.
«What has already been completed is the roof with its basketball and volleyball courts, a work that will be inaugurated by the Secretary of Education in Tamaulipas Dr. Héctor Escobar Salazar in these days,» he concluded.
