UT MATAMOROS PREPARES FOR THE REGIONAL SPORTS AND CULTURAL EVENT.
A group of students from the UT Matamoros are preparing to participate in the Regional Cultural and Sports Encounter to be held from February 13 to 15 at the UT-Saltillo facilities.
This was informed by the UT Matamoros rector, Mr. Flavio Hinojosa Alvarez, who said that the students will participate in basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, association soccer and cultural disciplines such as painting, singing, declamation, poetry and dance.
«In fact, I would like to inform you that our dance group is ranked in second place in the country, and today our goal is to achieve first place in the national ranking,» he said.
There is a delegation of about 120 students, who are divided among these disciplines, and who are preparing today to participate in this regional competition, and well, it is important to inform that several professors of physical and cultural education of our University will be traveling with them, he added.
