UT MATAMOROS PARTICIPATES IN THE «INDUSTRY 4.0» CONFERENCE.
In order to enrich the strategies of continuous improvement, teaching staff of the Technological Universities of the Northern Zone of Tamaulipas, participated in the great conference «Industry 4.0», which was offered in the city of Reynosa by the General Director of Cacei, Maria Elena Barrera Bustillos.
This was informed by the UT Matamoros Rector, Mr. Flavio Hinojosa Álvarez, who said that the conference was actually organized by the advisor of Technological Universities in Tamaulipas, Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez, who invited the General Director of Cacei to offer the conference and that it will be extended to other universities.
The Accreditation Council for Engineering Education (CACEI), he explained, is the decentralized body that validates and accredits all the study programs of the Universities and Technological Institutes that offer engineering careers.
Hence the importance of this type of conferences for Technological Universities like ours, «although I must tell you that our University has the largest number of academic programs accredited by the CACEI, even almost all of them are already recertified, thanks to the great participation of the teachers and their support and administrative staff».
«In fact, that is why today it is the best Technological University in the country,» he added.
By having more programs of study accredited by CACEI, he said, more support will be available from the Federation and the State, allowing us to have more and better spaces for teaching.
In other information, the UT Matamoros rector said that last week they had a visit from the Secretary of Education in Tamaulipas, Dr. Hector Escobar Salazar, who participated in the Board of Directors of the campus and toured the facilities, supervising several infrastructure works that are underway in this institution.
«As is the teaching building that will soon be completed,» he commented.
