UT MATAMOROS IS THE FIRST VENUE FOR THE 19TH CREATIVITY AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION CONTEST.

The State Government promotes the creativity of Tamaulipas students.
With the participation of 137 registered projects, the Technological University of Matamoros, was this Monday the regional host of the Creativity and Technological Innovation Contest in its 19th edition, convened by the State Government through the Tamaulipas Council of Science and Technology of the Secretary of Education of Tamaulipas.
The winners of the 6 categories, obtained their direct pass to the state stage to be held on October 26 and 27 at the Polyforum in Ciudad Victoria. In her welcome message, the rector Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez, highlighted the impulse that the government of Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca has given to the creativity of the students of the different educational levels, through tools such as the call for this contest.
«It is an honor for the Technological University of Matamoros to have been designated as the venue for this important event where students representing educational levels from preschool, elementary, middle school, high school and higher education come together; all of them have put into play their skills and learning built in different areas of knowledge,» said the UTM rector.
She added that with this creativity and technological innovation contest in its regional phase, students, teachers and directors are fulfilling this task, to ensure that our students at all levels have the spaces to develop their academic skills and thinking skills that continue to feed their ingenuity and creativity, to contribute to the growth of science and technology in Tamaulipas.
Present at the event from the academic sector were MDRH. José Alfredo Bernal Segura, Coordinator of the Integral Advisory Center in COTACYT, Dr. María Elena Flores Montalvo, Head of the Regional Center for Educational Development CREDE Matamoros and Prof. Graciela Torres Gutiérrez, Head of the Regional Center for Educational Development CREDE Valle Hermoso, in addition to the presence of Counselors, Delegate of Economy and local businessmen.
