UNIVERSIDAD TECNOLOGICA DE MATAMOROS WILL REPRESENT MEXICO IN THE VEX ROBOTIC-U 2017 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

Students from the Technological University of Matamoros, Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros, are preparing to represent Mexico in the Vex-Robotic University 2017 World Championship, after obtaining two passes to this meeting that brings together the best robotics teams from around the world, informed Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez.
With great pride, added the UTM president, we received another group of students who have put the name of this university on high by winning the Pre-National Tournament of the southern zone, held in Cancun, Quintana Roo, last weekend.
He said that in January of this year, a team of young people won their pass to the world championship by winning the prize for the best vex robotic design during a tournament held in Coahuila «and today another team was crowned champion, this time with vex robotic programming in the tournament held in Cancun».
This new triumph allows the UTM to participate with two teams in the tournament to be held in Luisville, Kentucky in the United States in April of this year.
The winning team of the championship in design is integrated by: Nahum Cruz Jiménez, David Padrón Salazar and Héctor Ramiro Gutiérrez Flores.
The youngsters who won the championship in programming, thus earning their pass to the world championship are: Alan Millan Esquivel, Daniela Ramos Espinoza, Oscar Pavel Rangel Torres and Erick Arturo Guajardo Gutierrez.
Guajardo Gutiérrez was also crowned champion in virtual Word programming, a prize that is awarded in the framework of the aforementioned meeting.
Bermea Vázquez said that the triumphs of the young people, who are directed by robotics master Ricardo Treviño Parras, demonstrate the comprehensive education they receive at the Technological University of Matamoros.
