Last Friday, October 18, we had the honorable and very pleasant visit of an excellent friend of all Mexicans, the ambassador of the United States of America in Mexico, Christopher Landau, a very nice person and we thank him for the support he gives to the entire university community.

e are very flattered to also have the very special visit of our Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, who permanently and decisively supports his University in every way, we are very happy with his presence, and we are grateful that he is hosting the UTM event. We have an excellent Governor.

We also have our friend and ally in Education, and who has been with us on multiple occasions, Neda Brown, Consul of the United States in Matamoros, and our good friend Consul of Public Relations Jose Gutierrez, as well as all his professional team Karla Paola Obregon and Jessica Anilu Segura.

Also in attendance were our friends from the Mexican State Cabinet, CP Carlos Alberto García González, Secretary of Economic Development, Fernando Olivera, Secretary of Tourism, Irving Barrios Mojica, Attorney General of Justice, and Vice Admiral Augusto Cruz Morales, Secretary of Public Security.

We reaffirm our relationship with the United States of America and with the personnel of the different offices of the Secretary of State, with whom we are linked and we agree that support for education is fundamental for the growth of the border region and key to the bilateral relationship.

Thank you very much Ambassador Christopher Landau for your visit to this university community, for your attention to the different projects in which teachers and students put their best effort to seek the development of our city and state, you can be sure that in UTMatamoros we are happy and honored by your support referred to in your message to the young people.

With the leadership of our Governor Francisco Cabeza De Vaca at Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros we are Building Time for All with Quality Higher Education in Tamaulipas.
