With the conference «Do you esteem or hurt yourself?» given by Rosa Laura Gómez.

The Technological University of Matamoros commemorated International Women’s Day this March 8 with the presentation of the conferences «Do you esteem yourself or hurt yourself?» and «Woman Protagonist», given by Rosa Laura Gómez and focused on all the students of this house of study.

Ivett Bermea Vázquez, considered it important to commemorate this day with an activity aimed at the more than 1,500 female students of this institution, consolidating the scheme of professional and personal development that is promoted there.

Self-esteem and recognition of personal abilities is a fundamental axis for a good professional development, which is why contributing to lay these foundations in each of the students of UTM is a vital task.

On this occasion, Rosa Laura Gomez, who has a master’s degree in family therapy and extensive experience in the field, was in charge of the development of the conference for the young students, touching on the theme of self-esteem, in a very real scheme.

Dr. Ivett Bermea commented that there are many talented women in various professional areas and outstanding in sports disciplines, as well as in innovation within the university.

The activities also included a photographic exhibition called «El principio del cielo» by Azucena Garza, which will remain on display at the school until Friday.

The exhibitor gave an explanation of her experience in taking photographs in the Old Pantheon of Matamoros, a reflection that she presented in each of the exhibited graphics.
