The Governor of Tamaulipas Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca on the afternoon of March 21 said goodbye and wished luck to the young students of UT Matamoros, since from March 22 to 25 they will be participating in the XXII National Sports and Cultural Meeting 2018, which takes place in Jalisco.
In an interview with Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez, rector of this university, she said that the UT Matamoros delegation will participate in the disciplines of Baseball, Athletics, Chess, Public Speaking, Folkloric Dance and Mural de Gis.
«Disciplines in which they were regional champions in the northeast zone and which recently took place in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas,» she explained.
Today these young people, he said, are looking to become national champions in each of these disciplines and we are very confident that this will be the case, because their quality as people shows it.
The Governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca, congratulated this group of young students, «because they will surely put UT Matamoros and Tamaulipas on a high level,» he added.
But I also want to congratulate them, he said, because this university center has taken a very important step and by this I mean that very soon UT Matamoros will become an International Bilingual and Sustainable University, «Many congratulations to its faculty and especially to the rector Ivett Bermea Vázquez for leading this important project».
