SUCCESSFUL PRESENTATION OF THE MUSIC BAND OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY OF MATAMOROS
During the XIII UTs Regional Sports Tournament, with great success, the Technological University of Matamoros premiered its Music Band during the opening ceremony of the XIII Regional Sports Tournament of UTs, «Altamira 2012».
The inauguration ceremony, held on February 22, was attended by directors of the Technological Universities, representatives of the government of Tamaulipas, the Ministry of Education, as well as representatives of the municipalities of Altamira and Tampico.
The Music Band, recently created at UTM, caused a great sensation among the students of the participating universities gathered at the «Estudiantes» stadium in Altamira, Tamaulipas.
The beautiful young ladies that make up the group of cheerleaders, flags and banners danced to the rhythm of the songs performed by the band, among them, «Intentalo» by the group Tree Ball.
After their participation in this important event, the Band was invited by the directors of the Polytechnic University of Altamira to perform at the institution’s facilities.
For this reason, they made their presentation at the facilities of the UP of Altamira on February 24 in the morning, where they were warmly received by the management and students, who through their rector, Mr. Alonso Banda, were thanked for their visit.
