Silver Medal for UTMatamoros!
With immense pride, we announce that Emmanuel Guillermo Juárez and Alejandro Galván Manrique, students of the TSU in Automation program, earned the Silver Medal at the Infomatrix Nacional 2025, held from May 21 to 24 in Ixtlahuaca, State of Mexico. Their project stood out among more than 400 entries from across the country.
Their innovation? A technological device that detects forest fires in remote areas using satellite signals—a brilliant example of applied science with real-world impact.
This achievement was made possible thanks to their dedication, the guidance of their advisor Ing. Misael Condado Fomperosa, and the unwavering support of their teachers and families.
We extend heartfelt thanks to Governor Dr. Américo Villarreal Anaya and Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel Valdez for championing youth talent and technological innovation in Tamaulipas.
