Yesterday UTMatamoros offered a press conference through which it presented the achievements obtained by the students who attended the XXII Regional Sports and Cultural Meeting of Technological Universities, held in Linares, Nuevo León.
Mrs. Diana Masso Quintana, Rector of the University, accompanied by directors and teaching staff, recognized the effort, dedication and commitment of each one of them, in raising the name of the institution.
By obtaining 5 First Places:
- 1st Place in Public Speaking
- 1st Place in Rondalla
- 1st Place in Women’s Softball
- 1st Place in Women’s Volleyball
- 1st Place in Women’s Basketball
4 Second Places
- 2nd Place in Folk Dance
- 2nd Place in Men’s Soccer 7
- 2nd Place in Men’s Basketball
- 2nd Place in Men’s Volleyball
A third place
- 3rd Place in Men’s Baseball
With this achievement, students obtain their pass to the National Technological Universities to be held from March 23 to 26 in the City of Puebla.
During the press conference, the young regional champions told the attendees some of the experiences they had during the competition; Likewise, they expressed their gratitude for the support received from the rector and the Governor, Dr. Américo Villarreal Anaya, for the leadership that characterizes him in continuing to Transform Education in Tamaulipas.
