OUTSTANDING PARTICIPATION OF THE UTM DURING THE XX REGIONAL MEETING OF TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITIES.
Students from the Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros had an outstanding participation during the XX Regional Meeting of Technological Universities Region III, which took place in the city of Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila.
This was reported by the UT Matamoros Rector, Mr. Flavio Hinojosa Alvarez, who said that today the first place winners will prepare for the National Meeting of Technological Universities to be held in April in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.
In this regional meeting, he said, the first places were won by students in women’s volleyball, students in folkloric dance, Ricardo Aldape in painting and Luis Angel Ortega Hernandez in Mental Calculus.
«They will represent us at the National Encounter of Technological Universities to be held in April in the city of Juarez, Chihuahua,» he said.
The UT Matamoros rector also said that another delegation of students also stood out in the State Athletics Competition that took place recently in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.
Students Roberto Almazán won first place in declaton, Juan Jesús Javier Méndez Vázquez first place in discus throw, Jua Antonio Huerta López first place in javelin throw, Francisco Javier Guevara Delgado first place in 110 meter hurdles, Alondra Rodríguez first place in javelin throw, Karla Lobato first place in 100 meter hurdles and Susana Angeles Lobato first place in pole vault, he said.
Once again, he said, UT Matamoros students show the good level offered by this university center, not only in academics but also in culture and sports, all thanks to the good work being done by our teachers both in the classrooms and in the academies.
