Mexican Science and Engineering Fair Tamaulipas 2023

Mexican Science and Engineering Fair Tamaulipas 2023 (FEMECI)
On March 9, UTMatamoros students and teachers participated in the Mexican Science and Engineering Fair in Tamaulipas 2023, hosted by Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, which took place virtually.
The main objective of this science and technology fair is to promote the development of scientific research practices and/or development of technologies, creating a contest for high school and college students, supported by teachers from the different subsystems, to present projects that are subject to methodologies, protocols and standards of universal validity in scientific research.
Within the contest, our students Héctor Ramón Ozuna González and Eduardo Emanuel Tovias Garza, both students of Mechatronics Engineering, under the technical advising of Professor Noé Toledo González and the scientific advising of Professor Lidia Elena Requena Hernández presented the project V2GO: Visual and Interactive System with augmented reality control within an industrial environment, obtaining the First State Place, with the highest score of the State in the category of Embedded Systems of Higher Level.
Our students Arnulfo Guadalupe Sánchez and David Shalom Pérez Quintín from the Mechatronics Engineering career also participated in the same category, under the technical advising of teacher Selene Ríos Gómez and the scientific advising of professor Hugo Alberto Solís Martínez, with the project FISALY: Technological Tool with artificial intelligence for monitoring the state of the crop, which had an outstanding participation in the contest.
It is worth mentioning that the most prestigious universities in Tamaulipas participated in this competition. With this achievement, the Technological University of Matamoros is positioned as one of the best universities in the state in the area of Systems and Engineering.
