MENTAL CALCULATION CHAMPIONSHIP 2017

 

Location: Universidad Tecnológica de Matamoros

Rules:
To register and participate, the following requirements must be met:

  1. The first State Mental Calculation Championship is open to teenagers and young adults of any nationality enrolled in public or private schools in our State.
  2. All participants must be in elementary school (4th, 5th, 6th), junior high school (1st, 2nd, 3rd), high school (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th semesters) or college (any semester) at the time of the First State Mental Calculus Championship.
  3. The competition will be divided into four categories:
    1. Elementary school category (4th-6th grade) with addition, multiplication and surprise tests. The accuracy and speed in each execution will be graded.
    2. Middle School Category: (1st-3rd) with addition, multiplication, square root and surprise test. Accuracy and speed in each execution will be graded.
    3. High School Category: (1st-6th Semester) with addition, multiplication, square root, hierarchy of operations, percentages, fractions and pop quiz.
    4. University category (all semesters) with addition, multiplication, square root, a hierarchy of operations, percentages, fractions and pop quizzes. Accuracy and speed in each execution will be graded.
  4. Registration begins October 9 and ends October 21, 2017 at Colegio Villa Freinet, phone (868) 819-54-63.
  5. The eliminatory tests will be held in two locations. The Elementary and Middle School categories will be held at the Colegio Villa Freinet facilities, the High School and University categories and the final will be held at the Universidad Tecnologica de Matamoros facilities with the presence of Alberto Coto as the main judge and the following awards will be given for all categories:
    1. First place: Husban H107C X4 Mini Drone with HD camera, recognition medal.
    2. Second Place: Tablet 3g-16 Quad Qore 16gb 7 Inches Android 6.0 Techpad by TechPad, medal and recognition.
    3. Third Place: Medal and recognition

Note: All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

The cases not foreseen by the present call will be resolved by the Matamoros Educational Projects team who have the representation of Alberto Coto in Tamaulipas and the Technological University of Matamoros in a collegiate manner.
