Mayor of Matamoros meets Outstanding UTMatamoros Athletes
This morning, outstanding athletes from UTMatamoros, accompanied by their rector Diana Masso Quintana, went to the Matamoros City Hall, where they were welcomed by Mayor Mario Lopez.
During this meeting, the mayor expressed that he is extremely proud of all the students of the UTM, who have put the name of our city, Tamaulipas and Mexico on high, by always winning the best places in sports, cultural and academic areas.
The meeting was attended by the national champions of ENDCUT Puebla 2023, the UTM Women’s Softball, Athletics, Chess and Tkdo teams.
At the end of the event, Diana Masso Quintana, UTMatamoros’ rector, thanked the mayor for recognizing the effort and dedication of each of the students of the UTM university community.
To conclude the event, students of the softball team presented the official UTM Lions T-shirt to the mayor, who expressed his great pride in wearing it.
