THE TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY OF MATAMOROS RECEIVES A RECOGNITION FOR QUALITY EDUCATION
The Secretary of Education in Tamaulipas, Dr. Diódoro Guerra Rodríguez delivered to the rector of the Technological University of Matamoros, Mr. José Antonio Tovar Lara, the accreditation document for the Higher University Technician in Tariff Classification and Customs Clearance granted by the Council for Accreditation of Accounting and Administration Education (CACECA), which will soon be presented to Mayor Alfonso Sánchez Garza.
In a ceremony held in Ciudad Victoria last Wednesday, where the rectors of the Technological Universities of Tamaulipas were present, the Secretary of Education delivered the accreditation document to UTM, after CACECA evaluated fundamental areas of the university such as:
The evaluation of student learning, the preparation and experience of professors to teach, the university’s infrastructure, linkages, research and development, innovation, placement of graduates in the productive sector, graduates’ degrees, low dropout rates, as well as effective sports and cultural programs.
It is important to mention that the evaluation conducted by the Council for the Accreditation of Engineering Education A.C. is under the guidelines of the Council for the Accreditation of Higher Education (COPAES), the Technological University of Matamoros promotes these actions, knowing that they contribute in a relevant way to raise the quality of higher education and the formation of more prepared, more competitive, more responsible and committed professionals, as demanded at this time by the Mexican society.
This important result obtained by UTM is a recognition of the effort, work and dedication that the management, administrative and teaching staff make every day to raise the quality standards in the education provided to students in the different careers of Higher University Technician as well as in its various Engineering programs. This new recognition to the Technological University of Matamoros, directed by Mr. José Antonio Tovar Lara, is added to the accreditations and certifications obtained previously, among them, those granted by the Institutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education, A.C. (CIEES), Quality Certification for the Teaching-Learning System ISO 9001: 2008, those of the Accreditation Council for Engineering Education, and those of the Council for the Accreditation of Engineering Education, A.C. (CIEES). , those of the Accreditation Council for Engineering Education, A.C. (CACEI) and MICROSOFT (in Office).
UTM is the first Technological University in the state to achieve this recognition for its academic programs, thus promoting high quality education.
This important achievement was made possible with the support of the Secretary of Education in Tamaulipas, Dr. Diódoro Guerra Rodríguez, as well as the Undersecretary of Secondary and Higher Education, Mr. Luis Felipe Alcocer Espinosa, who have demonstrated their interest and commitment to improve the quality of educational programs in the state.
In this important meeting held at the Secretary of Education in Tamaulipas, were present as witnesses the rectors:
Eng. Fidel Aguillón Hernández, Rector of the Universidad Tecnológica de Altamira; Eng. Juan Leonardo Sánchez Cuéllar, Rector of the Universidad Tecnológica de Nuevo Laredo; C.P. Sergio Humberto Zertuche Zuani, Rector of the Universidad Tecnológica de Tamaulipas Norte and Dr. Guadalupe Acosta Villareal, Rector of the Universidad Tecnológica del Mar Tamaulipas Bicentenario.
