“LAS MÚLTIPLES CAPACIDADES DIFERENTES” Conference given to UTMatamoros Students
Rosa Ester Arreola, staff of the Matamoros DIF System, offered the conference “Las Multiples Capacidades Diferentes” (Multiple Different Abilities) to the students of the UTM, with the objective of promoting an inclusive vision of functional diversity. In her speech, the speaker highlighted how different abilities not only represent challenges, but also a valuable contribution to the enrichment of society.
Throughout the conference, testimonials from people with diverse disabilities were shared and practical strategies were presented to promote awareness of physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disabilities. The main focus of the event was to inspire young people to reflect on the importance of creating accessible and equitable communities where all people, regardless of their abilities, have the opportunity to fully develop and reach their full potential.
The event also sought to reinforce the students’ commitment to building a more inclusive and just society for all.
