iTEP Academic
Having access to a short, accessible and accurate test with fast score delivery means that teachers and educators can focus on education, while iTEP takes care of the rest.
iTEP Academic is a multi-faceted tool, capable of assessing and monitoring a student’s language skills, from the admissions process through graduation. iTEP scores reflect a student’s overall progress within the 5 assessed areas: grammar, listening skills, reading, writing, and speaking. The iTEP scoring system is designed to detect the smallest improvements, providing institutions with a fair and accurate evaluation tool.
- How much does iTEP cost?
The retail cost of iTEP Academic-Plus is $129USD. Institutional Cost Plans are available for iTEP members.
- How are iTEP exams offered?
The iTEP exams are offered online. Academic-Plus for admissions must be offered at an iTEP Certified Testing Center. Academic-Core is available online and in print.
- How long are the iTEP exams?
The exam lasts 60 minutes for Academic-Core and 90 minutes for Academic-Plus. This includes the 10-minute preparation period.
- iTEP Academic Structure
iTEP Academic is offered in two formats: iTEP Academic-Plus, which tests grammar, listening and spoken language, writing and reading; ITEP Academic-Core, which tests grammar, listening and spoken language, and reading. iTEP Academic-Plus is used for unofficial admissions purposes, and either test can be used for internal assessments.
