EXCELLENT EXPO PROJECTS 2018 CARRIED OUT BY UTM STUDENTS.
In order to show society the learning acquired in the classroom, UTM’s Information and Communication Technologies students presented a series of technological projects called «Expo Proyectos 2018».
UT Matamoros Rector, Dr. Ivett Bermea Vázquez said that many of the projects have to do with the creation of applications, services, networks and communication, renewable energy and technical support.
«Innovations made by the student’s intellect and ideas supported by their teacher advisors, resulting in an excellent exhibition,» he said.
The selection of the best projects, he said, will be in the hands of a group of engineers from the industrial and commercial sector of Matamoros, who served as the evaluating group of this Expo Proyectos 2018.
The UT Matamoros Rector said that the best three projects will represent the University in the state contest of Technological Innovation that is organized every year by the Tamaulipas Council of Science and Technology (Cotacyt), so that if we place first at the state level, this will give us a pass to the National Science and Technology Contest.
On this occasion, she explained, 45 projects were presented internally, mostly made by students of Information Technology and Communication, as well as some others from Mechatronics and Maintenance.
The UT Matamoros rector also said that many of these projects migrate to the Business Incubator program, as was the case last year with an application that the jury liked very much and that has to do with the history of Matamoros through its Rio Bravo.
