Digital Violence Against Women: A Space for Awareness at UTMatamoros

Yesterday, the Technological University of Matamoros hosted the conference “Digital Violence Against Women”, offering a space for reflection and information on the various forms of aggression women face in digital environments.

Key topics included prevention, consequences, and the importance of acting from a gender perspective, raising awareness among students about digital responsibility and online respect.

We deeply appreciate the participation of the State Cyber Guard, represented by Ing. Javier Gerardo Galindo Hernández, Ing. Luis Jesús Alonso Flores, Second Officer Luis Arturo Ortíz Hernández, Third Officer Lizeth Porras Hernández, and Officer A Erika Dimas Rincón; as well as the Municipal Institute for Women, with Dr. Claudia Alvarado Serna, Director of IMM, and Lic. Anahí Hernández Rivera, psychologist, who shared essential knowledge and tools to prevent and confront digital violence.

This event reaffirms the commitment of Governor Dr. Américo Villarreal Anaya to education, safety, and the well-being of Tamaulipas youth—promoting actions that build fairer and safer environments, both online and offline.
