Ana Sofía Palacios Hernández Shines at the ANUIES 2025 National University Championship!
Ana Sofía Palacios Hernández, a fifth-semester Mechatronics Engineering student at the Technological University of Matamoros, proudly represented Tamaulipas at the ANUIES 2025 National University Championship in Guadalajara, Jalisco, competing in the 50 kg freestyle women’s division of University Olympic Wrestling.
Her outstanding performance reflects her dedication, preparation, and commitment, guided by coach Professor Joaquín Castañeda Cruz, who continues to foster athletic talent at UTM.
This achievement marks a new milestone in the growth of university sports in Tamaulipas, made possible by the institutional support of Governor Dr. Américo Villarreal Anaya and Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel Ángel Valdez García, who champion access to comprehensive education and real opportunities for youth across the state.
