Altar de Muertos in honor of Ing. Jaime Torres and Lic. Gustavo Farías
UTMatamoros held an Altar of the Dead in honor of Mr. Jaime Torres and Mr. Gustavo Farías, who were and will always be teachers at our beloved institution. Remembering their lives through their stories and memories.
The altar was placed in the building and had essential elements to receive the souls, such as water, salt, candles, copal and incense, flowers, bread, fruits; in addition to the objects to remember and offer to the faithful departed: portraits, sugar skulls, cross, papel picado.
During the presentation of the altar, Mr. Flavio Hinojosa, rector of UTM, thanked the families and friends of the teachers for accompanying us during this ceremony. He also stated the importance of carrying out this type of tradition and above all, he called to continue with this action, as it is a form of recognition and gratitude to the invaluable trajectory of those who were part of this university.
